Introducing Your New Fish

How to introduce new fish into your aquarium.

1. After getting your new fish home from AquariumArtists Australia, Float the unopened plastic bag in the aquarium for10-15 minutes.

2. While the bag is floating in your aquarium, you may want to use this time to move some ornaments and plants around in thetank, this will break up the territories of the fish you already have in theaquarium, and will prevent them from fighting with the new inhabitants

3. Now that your fish are the same temperature,it is time to get them used to your aquarium water, undo the lackey on the topof the fishes bag, and open the bag, all the time assuring the bag does notsink into the aquarium, we recommend pegging it to the side of your aquarium tostop the bag from sinking.

4. Now add 1 cup of water from youraquarium, directly into the fishes bag, and repeat this every 10-15 minutes forat least half an hour, preferably more.

5. Now that you’re new fish are used to yourwater conditions, it is time to release them, simple pour the water with fishin it into your aquarium, all the time begin carefully that no fish stick tothe side of the bag.

6. Once your fish are in the aquarium, it is time to watch them, keep a very close eye on the fish over the first couple of hoursto assure that the new fish are not getting harassed or picked on. Be sure toalso keep an eye on them over the next couple of days, to make sure that theyare eating and have not been damaged from transport.
